Graduate Research Assistant
Desmond Asante is a PhD kinesiology student with an emphasis in biomechanics and neuromotor control. He is interested in research related to upper limb assessments and rehabilitation post-stroke. Desmond has a bachelor's degree in physical therapy and was a practicing PT before becoming a PhD student. Born in Ghana, Desmond enjoyed seeing his patients return to function and independence as a PT working in rural and urban settings. In his free time, Desmond enjoys photography, reading, and playing bass guitar.
