Biography

Triet Lu is a Rehabilitation Science Doctoral Student and holds an Occupational Therapy Doctorate and a B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota. In the NeuRAL lab, Triet assists lab members with their research projects and performs maintenance tasks. His research interests are bilateral coordination in people with stroke. In his free time, Triet likes to work out, cook, spend time with friends, watch movies, and play video games. He is passionate about promoting occupational well-being and participation in vulnerable populations.

Bernard Sam

Biography
Bernard Sam is currently pursuing a PhD in Kinesiology. He holds a B.S. in Physical Therapy and a Master of Public Health (MPH). He is interested in researching neurorehabilitation, specifically how proprioceptive impairments affect bilateral coordination in stroke survivors, as well as their role in upper limb recovery and sensorimotor integration. Bernard has extensive experience in stroke rehabilitation, having worked as a Physical Therapist in Ghana.

Shelby Ziccardi

Biography

Shelby Ziccardi is a graduate student pursuing her PhD computer science and engineering. Her work focuses on algorithms for motion capture and motion analysis. Funded by the NRT Fellowship in Translational Sensory science, she is currently working on applying and expanding these general algorithms to populations who move atypically for eventual clinical use. In her free time, Shelby likes to cook, sew, watch women's soccer, and hike. Her passions include accessibility and ethics in digital spaces.

Ally Richardson

Biography

Ally Richardson is from Omaha, Nebraska and holds a Master's degree in Kinesiology. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Biological Systems Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Ally's research interests in biomechanics, neural rehabilitation, neuromotor control, and movement science have brought her to the NeuRAL Lab. When she's not conducting research, Ally enjoys running, outdoor exploration, and spending quality time with loved ones.
